This is a very long, comprehensive article about PCPs (precharged pneumatics). Just about everything you need to know to get started with pneumatic guns is in one place. Read this before you buy your first PCP. I also suggest that you read a subsequent article I wrote: Helpful info for working with precharged pneumatics.
I love hand pumps. They work great and are relatively easy to use even when you have to pump up to 3,000 psi. But, you have to know the right technique. I've seen strong, muscle-bound men decades younger than me who could not pump a gun up to 3,000 psi. Yet, my wife, Edith, who's as old as I am, can pump a gun to 3,000 psi. I showed her the technique, and we've never looked back! Read this article and watch the short video, and you'll also be able to pump up your guns.
